An exclusive high-level meeting was held between the Honourable High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh, Mohammed Shuhada Othman and executive members of the Bangladesh Medical Tourism Association (BMTA) to explore and strengthen bilateral collaboration in the field of medical tourism.
The event was hosted today at Hotel Sarina, Dhaka, and arranged by KPJ Damansara Hospital, one of Malaysia’s leading healthcare institutions. The hospital was represented by Khairuddin, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Bangladesh Operations.

During the discussion, both parties emphasized the growing demand among Bangladeshi patients for advanced medical care abroad, particularly in Malaysia. Key topics included the need for streamlined visa and medical travel procedures, faster and hassle-free access to top-tier treatment, and enhancing the quality and experience of patient services offered to international medical travelers.

BMTA President Md. Arif Hossian led the Bangladesh delegation, joined by General Secretary AKM Mufesserul Haq, Vice President Ashekunnabi Mahmudur Rahman Mazumder Liton, Secretary – International Affairs Shabbir Ahmad Tamim, Secretary – Legal Affairs Yasin Absar, along with other senior members of the association.
